Murders in the Rue Morgue is set in Paris, 1818, and is a short story by Edgar Allan Poe written in 1841.  I wanted to convey the classic gothic horror of which Poe writes with so beautifully, keeping hold of the atmosphere of the setting whilst adhering to a strong sense of historical accuracy in the designs.
