Music Hall was an important project as it encouraged me as a designer to experiment within charicature to capture the animated and gregarious personalities that were known and greatly loved across the Music Hall stages of the early 1900s. Alongside this, it was of grave importance to give a voice to the themes behind the songs each character would have been performing; WW1 was a running theme through this set of designs and along with this came feelings of dread, sorrow, joy, hope and peace.
